MANILA, Philippines – Well-traveled veteran Reggie Okosa will join Ivan Johnson as a World Import for Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League, head coach Jimmy Alapag confirmed on Tuesday.

Johnson is more familiar to Filipino fans, having been a part of the Talk 'N Text team that ruled the 2015 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Okoso also had a brief stint as a PBA import in 2012, but has plied his trade all over the world – including in Korea where he and Johnson faced off against each.

"He's a veteran guy," Alapag said of Okosa. "Him and Ivan actually played against each other in the KBL. We're hoping he'll arrive this week."

Okosa is a 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man who gives Alab Pilipinas another inside presence, according to Alapag.

"I'm hoping that since he and Ivan have known each other for quite some time, he'll be able to fit in pretty seamlessly once he gets to Manila," said the coach.

Johnson, for his part, is ready to welcome Okosa with open arms.

"That's gonna make it even funner," he said of the prospect of playing with his fellow veteran import. "With him on one side, and me on the other, we got Josh (Urbiztondo), we got Ray (Parks)."

"That's hard to contain," Johnson noted.
