Adamson University got big-time contributions from its new faces all while Jerrick Ahanmisi got hot anew in their 72-53 victory versus National University, Saturday at MOA Arena.

First-year players AP Manlapaz and Lenda Douanga came up big for the Soaring Falcons who were very much in need of a win to breathe life into their playoff hopes in the UAAP 82 Men’s Basketball Tournament. "It's been a while since I've been here. We really needed this win," head coach Franz Pumaren said in his first post-win interview in almost a month.

Manlapaz wound up with 14 points in efficient 7-of-12 shooting to go along with six rebounds and two assists while Douanga posted an 11-marker, 15-board double-double.

Of course, Ahanmisi was there as well and totaled 15 points built on three triples as they finally put an end to a four-game slide and powered through to 4-6 in the standings.
