MANILA, Philippines – One of Manny Pacquiao's nephews was among the boxers who participated in a tournament at the La Trinidad Municipal Gym on Saturday night.
Dapidran Pacquiao defeated Joeffrey Garcia via unanimous decision in the six-round match.
In another match, Jeven Villacete won via technical knockout when his opponent, Benjamin Bartolome, complained of foot pain and gave up in the third round.
In the main event, Argie Toquero – a member of Manny Pacquiao's stable – took on Japanese foe Takaya Kakutani in a match scheduled for 10 rounds.
Toquero's aggression paid off immediately when he connected on a right hook right to Kakutani's jaw, sending the Japanese to the floor.
Toquero was named the winner via knockout after only 37 seconds, and he won the vacant WBC Youth super featherweight title.
