Alvin Pasaol's 49-point game — yes, 49 points — in the University of the East Red Warriors' loss to the De La Salle Green Archers reverberated across the local basketball world, to the point that two of the former biggest collegiate stars took notice.

It was an efficient night by Pasaol, who needed only 30 shots to put up his point total. Overall, he had 20 made field goals in 32 minutes.

According to the league's chief statistician, Pong Ducanes, Ben Mbala also registered a career-high in the Archers' 106-100 win, but it was 10 points fewer than Pasaol's.

In the end, Mbala approached Pasaol, as game recognized game.
