MANILA, Philippines -- UAAP commissioner Jensen Ilagan will review the incident that led to head coach Bo Perasol's ejection from the Ateneo-University of the Philippines' tiff on Sunday afternoon.

Perasol charged at a game official with 6:23 left in the third quarter, after a perceived non-call on Ange Kouame's block against Jerson Prado. The UP coach took a fighting stance, as was given two technical fouls.

Ateneo went on to win the game, 89-63, for a perfect 7-0 record at the end of the first round.

UAAP house rules state that an ejection merits an automatic one-game suspension, but Ilagan said his office will review the video to see if further sanctions are necessary.

"Obviously, there's our house rules na there's a one-game suspension na sanction. With that, we need to review the whole video again, if meron pang other actions na nangyari," he said.

"Sabi nga nila, marami raw nagsi-circulate na mga photos, pero we cannot use that as basis. We're now requesting the materials to be given to us para ma-review namin lahat."

Ilagan said he expects to get the video by the end of the day, and come up with a decision on Monday, Sept. 30. Perasol has said the Fighting Maroons will appeal, which Ilagan said will be reviewed.

"Hopefully, everything will be ironed out before the next game," Ilagan said.

Meanwhile, the commissioner also made it clear that Perasol's history of ejections will not be taken into account when making a decision.

Perasol was also ejected when UP played Ateneo in the first round of UAAP Season 81, an 87-79 win for the Blue Eagles. He was also suspended in Season 76, his first season as head coach of Ateneo, for confronting a La Salle fan.

"Again, of course, our decision should be objective and history prior to this game, hindi pwede natin i-take into account. Any sanction should solely be based on his actions today," Ilagan said.
