MANILA, Philippines -- University of the Philippines head coach Bo Perasol was ejected from the Fighting Maroons' game against Ateneo de Manila University after confronting a referee.
Perasol was incensed after a perceived no-call on Jerson Prado's lay-up attempt against Ateneo's Ange Kouame, and charged into the court to confront to game official.
He was immediately whistled for two technical fouls and tossed from the game, but not before continuing to argue with the referee.
The Blue Eagles were ahead, 47-35, at the time of Perasol's ejection, with still 6:23 to play in the third quarter of the game.
Perasol's ejection resulted in two free throws for Thirdy Ravena, and a bonus possession for Ateneo. Adrian Wong nailed a three-pointer in that possession, giving the Blue Eagles a 52-35 advantage.
