Former world women's billiards champion Rubilen Amit leapfrogged to the top 3 in the international rankings based on the recent list released by the World Pool-Billiards Association.
Amit, the first Filipina billiards player to become world champion, amassed a total of 10,573 points.
Her scores were based on her performances in the 2019 China Open and the 9-ball World Cup where she gained 5,323 and 5,350 points, respectively.
She is just behind Chinese aces Yu Han and Chen Siming.
Yu scored a total of 12,180 points to seize the top ranking, followed by Chen (10,720).
Amit will play in the coming Southeast Asian Games, where she has already won 6 gold medals over the years.
Amit is a 2-time World 10-ball ladies champion (2009, 2013) and a one time World ladies 9-ball champion (2007).
