PBA: Kiefer impressive in NLEX’s win vs Phoenix

Kiefer Ravena made his presence known in his PBA return with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals for NLEX against Phoenix on Saturday. PBA Media Bureau

Kiefer Ravena splashed his way in his return to the PBA, as NLEX beat Phoenix 123-116 in the 2019 Governors' Cup at Araneta Coliseum Saturday.

Ravena, who has fully served his FIBA suspension, produced 20 points, including 4 triples in the first quarter to go with 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.

Olu Ashaolu added 29 points in NLEX's impressive start in this tournament.

The Fuel Masters tried to come back late in the fourth, trimming the deficit down to 116-113 with 1:27 left off a Eugene Phelps layup.

But the Road Warriors would have none of it with Ashaolu punctuating the game with a slam.

Ashaolu finished with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

Phelps had 38 points for the Fuel Masters, while Matthew Wright added 29 points.
