Ramon "Tats" Suzara will remain as chief operating officer of the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC).
Suzara said he would report back to work on October 1 as point man of the organizing committee after PHISGOC released a memo saying he was just on official leave.
"I'll be back on October 1," he said.
Suzara, the chief architect of the blueprint for the country's SEA Games hosting from November 30 to December 11, flew to Japan for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup and a possible engagement with organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He is also one of the eight original incorporators of PHISGOC chaired by House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
While Suzara is away, Jojit Alcazar has been appointed PHISGOC's officer-in-charge of Phisgoc.
"To date, the current organizational chart remains the same," said Alcazar, who issued the memo to the organization.
"As we draw closer to the Games, all officials of the top management and the respective officials and members of all functional areas should perform their regular duties and functions," he added.
