MANILA, Philippines – Fighting congressman Manny Pacquiao said he has nothing to prove against Timothy Bradley, which is why he chose to fight his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez instead.
The Filipino boxer asserted that he clearly won their welterweight title fight last June despite handing over the World Boxing Organization (WBO) belt to Bradley.
“Ano bang kailangang i-prove ko? In-analyze ko ang laban namin, at kitang kita ng lahat na talagang one-sided fight,” Pacquiao said before flying to the US on Friday.
(What do I have to prove? I analyzed the fight and saw what everybody else saw, it was a one-sided fight.)
Pacquiao has elected not to reclaim his title from Bradley.
He will instead battle Marquez, a counter-punching specialist who has given him 3 very close fights, on December 8 in the US.

“Yung laban natin kay Marquez ay sa December 8 sa Las Vegas (My fight against Marquez will be on December 8 in Las Vegas),” said Pacquiao.
The Filipino boxer said fans will likely be bored if he gives Bradley 12 more rounds.
“Maglalaban na naman kami parang kung ako ang fan, medyo boring na." (we’ll fight again, if I was the fight fan, I’ll likely get bored.)
Bradley earlier blasted Pacquiao for refusing to fight him.
He said Pacquiao should have at least tried to get back the WBO crown by agreeing to a rematch.
"I can't believe it. Any champion who lost his belt, you would want to redeem yourself," Bradley said.
"In my eyes, chicken (expletive), chicken, chicken, chicken. I'm too much for these boys, man," he added. -– With a report from Dominic Almelor, ABS-CBN News
