With Arellano University threatening late in the game, Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre, San Beda University went back to basics en route to a 73-66 decision that keeps its slate spotless in the NCAA 95 Men's Basketball Tournament.

Seeing its double-digit lead shrink to only one, 60-59, inside the last six minutes, the Red Lions went to Donald Tankoua for four possessions in a row.

And the Cameroonian powerhouse did nothing but deliver, bullying Justin Arana for four inside baskets in a row.

A split from the stripe by Evan Nelle then completed a 9-0 counter that ultimately wound up as the defending champions' 11th win in as many games.
