Isa Molde and Tots Carlos took over in the fifth set as Motolite outlasted the veteran-laden BanKo, 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 29-31, 19-17 , sans injured top hitter Myla Pablo on Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying Centre in San Juan.

The duo combined for eight points in the deciding frame to power Motolite back in the win column for a 5-2 win-loss record tied with PetroGazz at second spot behind league-leading and unbeaten defending champion Creamline (8-0) and snapped the Perlas Spikers three-game win streak.

Carlos exploded for 29 points in a great display of her firepower as the University of the Philippines standout hammered 26 kills with two aces and a kill block while Molde pounded 21 attacks in her 24-point outing which she laced with 18 digs for Motolite, which gave Pablo, who sustained a right foot injury in the team’s straight sets loss to PetroGazz last Sunday, an advance birthday gift. Pablo will turn 26 on Thursday.
