MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATED) LeBron James' visit to Manila, originally scheduled for September 8 and 9, has been cancelled due to "logistical challenges," Nike announced on Wednesday.

"Due to logistical challenges, Nike has made the difficult decision to cancel the Manila portion of LeBron James' Asia tour," Nike said in a statement.

It would have been James' third visit to Manila, and his first since winning the NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers back in June.

James first visited Manila in 2013 for his "Witness" tour, shortly after winning his first championship with the Miami Heat. He returned in 2015 for his "Rise Beyond Belief" tour, where he worked with kids of Team Rise.

For his third visit, James was supposed to hold a "Battle the Doubt Bootcamp," a one-day basketball camp featuring professional Nike coaches and athletes, with players from selected schools and teams from different barangays taking part.
