PetroGazz dug deep into its bag of experience to outlast ChocoMucho, 25-22, 25-15, 19-25, 20-25, 15-3, and stretch its winning romp to three on Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Angels (4-2) raced to a comfortable 8-0 lead in the fifth set to dictate the pace, as the skidding Flying Titans crumbled.

Five Angels finished in double figures with setter Djanel Cheng distributing the ball well for PetroGazz’s balance scoring. Jonah Sabete scored 15 markers with all but one coming off attacks including a left-handed soft hit down the line that put the Angels on top 8-0 in the fifth frame that broke the back of ChocoMucho.

Cherry Nunag had 14 markers, Jovelyn Prado and Cai Baloaloa finished with 11 each while Jeanette Panaga wreaked havoc at the net with six kill blocks for 10 markers for the Angels.
