MANILA, Philippines – Talk N Text has replaced import Scottie Reynolds midway the PBA Governor's Cup Finals in a frantic effort save their grand slam bid.

PBAconnect tweeted that the Tropang Texters has activated Maurice Baker in place of Reynolds, who has been ineffective against the Petron Blaze Boosters.

Talk N Text is now lagging behind Petron Blaze in their PBA Governors Cup title showdown, 3-2.

The Tropang Texters won the Philippine Cup and the Commissioner's Cup, and winning the Governors Cup will give their franchise their first PBA grand slam.

This, however, will not happen if Petron beats them out for the Governor’s Cup.

Talk N Text coach Chot Reyes did not hide his disappointment over Reynolds' performance when they lost to Petron in Game 5 on Wednesday.

"Their import is fantastic and our import sucks," Reyes told

Petron's import, Anthony Grundy, has outplayed Reynolds so far in the series.

In Game 5, Grundy had a double-double performance of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Reynolds only scored 5 points.

Game 6 of the PBA Finals will be held Friday, wherein Petron will have a chance to close out the series.
