The College of St. Benilde scored a huge upset while Adamson University’s promising rookies showed the way for the Lady Falcons in their respective opening day victories in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Saturday.

The Lady Blazers stunned Far Eastern University in straight sets, 28-26, 25-22, 25-17, in Group B to open the triple-bill playdate.

CSB outgunned the rebuilding Lady Tamaraws, 39-29, and played better net defense with, 6-3, kill blocks advantage to claim the win in 88 minutes.

Klarisa Abriam posted 13 markers highlighted by 10 spikes and three kill blocks to go with 11 digs while Chelsea Umali fired 10 points for the Lady Blazers.
