Q: What did Ronda Rousey say to Bethe Corriea after knocking out the Brazilian in 34 seconds?

A: The exact same thing Corriea screamed at her face during their weigh-ins.

Rousey finished the trash-talking Brazilian with a crippling right hand to the face to put an end to their bitter feud at the main event of UFC 190 over the weekend.

With the victory, the former Olympian defended her UFC women’s bantamweight strap.

But apart from retaining the belt, Rousey said she said something to the fallen Brazilian.

“I said the exact same thing she was saying to me at the weigh-ins when she was screaming in my face at weigh-ins,” Rousey explained at the post-fight press conference.

“She was saying ‘Don’t cry.’ So I turned around to her after I knocked her out and I said ‘Don’t cry.’”

The comment was Corriea’s reference to Rousey’s past bout with depression.

Before the bout, the two were locked in a nasty feud that began when Corriea beat up two of Rousey’s teammates.

The tension escalated when Corriea said the American might end up killing herself if she loses in UFC 190. The remark backfired as it turned out that Rousey lost her father to suicide.

Rousey fired back by vowing to get vengeance over Correia’s nasty comment.

Now that she has scored a decisive victory against the Brazilian, Rousey feels that her victory marked the end of their feud.

“I consider the matter settled,” Rousey said. “I’m not going to have to think about her ever again after this day and I’m sure she’ll have to think about me plenty. As far as I’m concerned, it’s over and done with.”
