"We're so excited to have you with the pro-path team, with the G-League. We want to welcome you to the NBA family, and we're excited to tip your first season off," he added.

The 18-year-old Sotto opted to forego college and instead join the NBA G-League's professional pathway program, where he will play with other top prospects in a squad coached by Brian Shaw.

The young players, which includes top prospect Jalen Green, will also receive mentoring off the court to prepare them for an NBA career.
