Voting has begun for the NBA's regular season awards, including the season's Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year, the league announced.

A global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters will vote for the awards from July 21 to 28.

The "seeding games" that will be played when the NBA season restarts on July 30 will not be taken into consideration for the awards.

"The decision to exclude seeding games from awards voting ensures a fair process in which players and coaches from all 30 NBA teams will have the same opportunity to be honored as top performers for the 2019-20 regular season," NBA president league operations Byron Spruell said in a statement.

The following awards are up for grabs: MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-NBA Teams, All-Defensive Teams, and All-Rookie Teams.

The winners will be announced during the NBA playoffs.
