Fresh off his age-defying victory over Keith Thurman, Sen. Manny Pacquiao has boarded a private jet back to Manila and is expected to arrive in the Philippines early Tuesday (Manila time).
Pictures taken by ABS-CBN News' Val Cuenca showed Pacquiao boarding the flight in the US Sunday night. Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive in Manila at around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
He told ABS-CBN News he will be attending the Senate session Tuesday morning.
Pacquiao earlier said he used body shots and right hooks to defeat Thurman and take his 62nd win of a 71-fight career. Post-fight statistics showed Pacquiao outpunching Thurman by 686 to 571.
The boxing legend was supposed to fly back to Manila in time for the 4th State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte this Monday, July 22, but was advised not to take the flight immediately after the match.
