MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATED) Another Filipino player is headed to Japan's B.League.
The Aomori Wat's on Wednesday announced that it has signed San Beda University center Kemark Carino as an Asian import for the 2021-2022 season.
Carino is the first player signed by Aomori Wat's under the league's Asian Player Quota program.
"I'm really looking forward to playing in front of you soon," Carino said in a statement.
Aomori Wat's plays in the B.League's second division, where they finished in last place in the East last season with a 7-51 record.
Carino, who has also played for the Philippines in the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers, will forego his remaining eligibility with the Red Lions by turning pro.
He joins Thirdy Ravena (San-En NeoPhoenix), Kiefer Ravena (Shiga Lakestars), Juan Gomez de Liano (Earthfriends Tokyo Z in Division 2), and Javi Gomez de Liano (Ibaraki Robots) as Filipino players who have signed with B.League clubs.
