Nonito Donaire Jr. said he will be forced to move on and look for another fight if his bantamweight tournament finals match with fellow bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue does not push through.

Donaire said he’s getting frustrated as he hasn’t heard from the organizers of the World Boxing Super Series’ bantamweight tournament lately.

“We want communication, because we do want to fight,” Donaire said in an article posted on BoxingScene.com

“We do want to make things happen. But if that doesn’t work, then we’re willing to move on and make it happen some other time.”

Donaire said he was previously told that the final would take place either in June or this month.

Donaire was supposed unify his WBA “super” world bantamweight championship with Inoue’s IBF crown.

His promoter Richard Schaefer hasn’t heard from WBSS organizers in nearly a month.

“My promoter has talked to them, and they said they’ll get back to him,” Donaire said.

“But they haven’t. The last time that we heard from them was my wife’s birthday, June 21st . . . So, that’s pretty much it. We haven’t heard anything.

“And again, I love the opportunity that they’ve given me, fighting the best out there, making me world champion all over again. And I wanna fight. That’s all it is, just communicate and know exactly when I’ll fight and I’ll be there.”

Donaire moved to the finals of the tournament by disposing of Stephon Young in the sixth round.

Japan’s Inoue, on the other hand, knocked out Puerto Rico’s Emmanuel Rodriguez in the second round of his bantamweight semifinal.
