Lyceum of the Philippines University bounced back from a shock loss by venting its ire on winless Mapua University 79-71 in NCAA 95 men’s basketball at Filoil Flying V Centre on Friday.

The Pirates were sunk for the first time by upstart Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Three days later, they got a mighty rebound led by Jaycee Marcelino, who had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals as well as Toci Tansingco who had a season-high 14 points of his own.

"We're happy that we got back. We grinded it out with Mapua and it was kinda ugly, but we're always going to take the good with the bad," head coach Topex Robinson said post-game.
