Kobe Paras starred in University of the Philippines' (UP) 76-61 victory over National Taiwan Sport University, steering the Fighting Maroons to its first win in the 2019 Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Cup in Taiwan on Tuesday.
The son of PBA legend Benije Paras led the fighting Maroons' late 17-0 run that turned the game around to UP, according to ABS-CBN Sports.
He finished with 15 points.
His teammates also picked up the slack as Juan Gomez de Liano and Ricci Rivero failed to make the trip to Taiwan due to injuries.
Jun Manzo scored 13 points, while Bright Akhuetie and Javi Gomez de Liano also added 10 points each.
The Fighting Maroons will next take on Huaquiao University.
