NorthPort needed one big shot from Robert Bolick to edge Meralco 93-92 and nab a ninth victory in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Cuneta Astrodome on Friday.

Following Delroy James’ basket that pushed the Bolts to a 92-90 lead, Prince Ibeh split his free throws and Bolick came away with a driving layup in the final 3 seconds.

Chris Newsome tried to steal the game on the other end, but his undergoal stab didn’t sink, allowing NorthPort to improve to 9-2.

Bolick finished with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals, while Ibeh had 15 makers, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. Sol Mercado chipped in 12 points.

The Batang Pier could finish on top of the standings at the end of the eliminations if TNT (9-1) loses to Magnolia on Wednesday.
