Former ONE bantamweight champion Kevin Belingon is starting early with his preparations against Brazilian nemesis Bibiano Fernandes whom he will be facing for the fourth time in October.
Belingon lost his title via a controversial disqualification when he accidentally hit Fernandes at the back of his head last March.
This time, he wants to make sure there will be no controversy and that he will end up as the victor.
Although the fight ended abruptly, the "Silencer" already knows what to expect in their fourth clash.
Iyon ang isa sa pinaghahandaan natin," he said.
What Belingon wants to add into his arsenal, however, is a solid defense.
The Team Lakay stalwart noticed that Fernandes has recently been upping his ante when it comes to striking despite his world-class ground game.
"Kailangang dadagan ko 'yung depensa. Nung unang round pumasok 'yung suntok niya. 'Yun ang babantayan rin natin 'yung depensa natin," he said.
Belingon will be squaring off with Fernandes at ONE: Century, which will take place on October 13 in Tokyo, Japan.
