MANILA--Although he's older, Olsen Racela does not hesitate to consult younger brother Nash when it comes to coaching.
Olsen acknowledged that Nash is more experienced and knowledgeable than him as a shot-caller.
"Kung mentorship man, of course, andiyan si coach Tim (Cone), but si Nash palagi kong tinatawagan 'yun," he said in an article posted on PBA.ph.
"Although we have different philosophies, pero siya 'yung parang (mentor ko)."
Olsen serves as deputy on Barangay Ginebra, and as chief tactician of the Far Eastern University Tamaraws.
Nash, currently Blackwater head coach, used to handle TNT. He also led the Batangas Blades to a title in the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association and FEU to the 2015 UAAP men's title.
"Mas matanda ako sa kanya, pero mas nauna siyang nag-coach sa akin," Olsen said.
"As a coach dapat meron ka rin ganu'n (mentor) para kahit papaano, matutulungan ka niya sa mga decisions mo or at least somewhat meron kang mapagtatanungan."
