(UPDATED) Terrence Jones came up with another superb outing as TNT KaTropa steamrolled past Rain Or Shine, 102-81, in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.
Jones had 33 points, 21 rebounds, and 13 assists to go with his 4 steals and 2 blocks in leading the Texters to their sixth straight victory.
With the win, the Texters remained in the lead in the standings with an 8-1 card and stepped closer to a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals.
RR Pogoy added 19, while Jayson Castro chipped in 15 markers for the Textes.
But the E-Painters stayed at eighth place despite a second straight setback.
Jones said it’s the team chemistry that's making TNT click.
"It's the great chemistry. We're communicating well and we make plays for one another. We're happy to play with one another, and everybody's happy for each other," said the TNT import.
In dishing out 13 of their 23 assists, Jones said he can be aggressive in making the baskets but he also loves making plays for his teammates.
The Elasto Painters held a 25-24 lead in the opening quarter but could do little to stop the Texters from taking over in the second period where TNT dropped a total of 32 points.
Denzel Bowles led Rain Or Shine with 28 points. Jayvee Mocon added 19 for the Elasto Painters, who fell to 3-5.
