MANILA -- ONE heavyweight champion Brandon Vera and former bantamweight king Kevin Belingon will be making their return to the cage when ONE Championship holds its historic 100th live event in Tokyo, Japan in October.
Vera will challenge ONE light heavyweight champion “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang of Myanmar in an effort to become a two-division champion in ONE: Century.
Meanwhile, Belingon will attempt to reclaim the ONE bantamweight title from Brazilian star Bibiano Fernandes also in the same card.
The matches are two of the three world title fights that will be staged in the iconic Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
ONE women’s atomweight champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee of Singapore will defend her title against ONE women’s strawweight champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan of China.
Other features include three World Grand Prix Championships: the ONE lightweight world grand prix, the ONE flyweight world grand prix, and the ONE featherweight kickboxing world grand prix.
Also on the card are four Japan Super Bouts, with four Shooto world champions going head-to-head with four Pancrase world champions in a never-before-seen showdown. The winner of each contest walks away with a $50,000 prize.
