MANILA - All-Filipino DOTA 2 Team TNC Predator has qualified for The International 2019 to be held in Shanghai, China, the team announced Tuesday after a stellar showing in the Epicenter Major in Moscow, Russia.

The squad announced this as it advanced to the upper bracket semifinals of the Russia-based tilt after a 2-1 nail-biter against China’s Royal Never Give Up.

This makes TNC the ninth team to qualify for TI19, and is poised to compete with 11 teams from all over the world.

The International is the world’s biggest DOTA tournament organized by Valve, the game’s developer.

It will also be the first time the tournament will be held in Asia.

Last year TNC bowed out in the lower bracket playoffs in the competition.

As of writing, the tournament's prize pool has reached $19,533,247 (around P1 billion).

The International will be held from August 20 to 25 this year.
