MANILA (UPDATE) - An all-Filipino squad of gamers bowed out of the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup on Sunday.

After a hot streak throughout the tournament, Pinoy squad ArkAngel lost to Indonesian squad Louvre Esports, 2-0, thus ending their campaign in the prestigious e-sports championship held in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The results brought ArkAngel to third place, winning a cash prize amounting to $10,000 (around P530,000)

Louvre clipped ArkAngel’s wings in what seemed to be a repeat of the upper bracket playoff round.

ArkAngel waxed hot in the early minutes of Game 1 but Louvre flipped the tables and came from behind to claim first blood. The Pinoy squad apparently lost momentum after technical difficulties marred the game.

Louvre then took over as ArkAngel ran out of gas in the second game to sweep the series.

ArkAngel had already lost 2-1 against Louvre in the upper bracket playoffs held Saturday.

Suffering the same fate as Bren Esports, ArkAngel failed to exploit a homecourt advantage as Manila hosted the tourney for the first time in franchise history.

Indonesian squad Onic Esports claimed the MSC 2019 championship while Louvre placed second.
