MANILA, Philippines – Streaking BanKo-Perals and resurgent Iriga-Navy face off on Wednesday, while Pocari-Air Force and BaliPure try to bounce back in the quarterfinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

The pair of games, to be held at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan, may clear up or further muddle the race to the semifinal round of the conference.

The Perlas Spikers swept their first two games in the single round quarterfinals among six teams – including a three-set romp over defending champion Pocari Sweat last weekend.

They head to their 6 p.m. duel against the Lady Oragons as heavy favorites, with imports Kia Bright and Jutarat Montripila expected to lead their local crew in an attempt claim at least a playoff for a spot in the semifinals.

However, the Lady Oragons are no pushovers, and indeed they are brimming with confidence following a five-set triumph over a winless Tacloban side.

Meanwhile, Pocari Sweat and BaliPure tangle at 4 p.m., with both squads looking to recover from losses that halted their momentum in the quarterfinals.

The Lady Warriors are currently at joint second with PetroGazz at 2-1, while the Water Defenders are in fourth place with their 1-1 slate.

Maddie Palmer is looking to bounce back from a mediocre nine-point outing in their loss to Perlas, and provide the needed back-up to fellow import Arielle Love and a superb local cast led by Myla Pablo and Jeanette Panaga.

BaliPure will continue to lean on powerful import Janisa Johnson as well as National University high school standouts in Joyme Cagande, Faith Nisperos, Mhicaela Belen, Princess Robles and Alyssa Solomon.

In the men's division, Air Force guns for a second straight win and a share of the lead with idle PLDT when it tangles with Instituto Estetico Manila (0-1) at 1 p.m.
