Filipino ring icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has arrived in Los Angeles, where he will continue training for his showdown with Keith Thurman.

Pacquiao arrived Saturday evening (Sunday morning in Manila) along with his entourage headed by trainer Buboy Fernandez.

"Mas maganda kasi na mas maaga pa lang dumating dito, para ma-acclimatize," Fernandez explained when asked about their early arrival.

Fernandez believes Pacquiao is now 80 percent ready for his bout against the unbeaten Thurman, as the "Pacman" already sparred eight rounds before leaving for Los Angeles.

"It's good news, and I see already the motivation and determination of the senator for this fight," said Fernandez.

Pacquiao (61-7-2) faces Thurman (29-0, 1 NC) on July 20 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Thurman holds the "super" version of the WBA welterweight championship belt.
