MANILA, Philippines – Boxing analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz doesn’t believe Manny Pacquiao will fight Timothy Bradley in a rematch, not with the notorious outcome of their bout.

The veteran ring commentator said Pacquiao is likely leaning on another tough battle against Juan Manuel Marquez, with whom the Filipino has already had 3 close bouts.

“The [last] Marquez fight is very close and I think Pacquiao is going to fight Marquez in November,” Nathanielsz said in an interview with ANC Top Story.

Pacquiao lost his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown despite dominating Bradley in 8 out of 12 rounds last Sunday.

Fight judges CJ Ross and Duane Ford scored the bout 115-113 in favor of Bradley.

The other judge, Jerry Roth, saw Pacquiao winning the fight, 115-113.

Although the Pacquiao-Bradley fight contract has a rematch clause, Nathanieslz said the judges’ verdict shouldn’t warrant one.

“You call a rematch if the fight is close. It's not even close. Not in the wildest imagination it was a close fight,” said Nathanielsz.

The ring analyst pointed out that Marquez failed to wrest the crown from Pacquiao despite giving the Filipino an incredible challenge.

Ironically, Bradley was the one who snatched Pacquiao’s crown despite being in the receiving end of Pacquiao’s punches for most of the fight.

“This fight [Bradley bout] was not even close. This is a joke, Pacquiao won 9 out of 12 rounds. Most you could give Bradley was four rounds, it's not even close.”
