Stanley Pringle scored 22 points, and GlobalPort came up clutch in the end game to beat San Miguel Beer 98-94 in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Wednesday.

With the win, GlobalPort evened its win-loss record to 4-4, while the Beermen saw their winning streak snapped at 3 and dropped to 3-4 in the standings.

Nico Elorde buried a 3-pointer off a Pringle assist to break a tie and give GlobalPort a 95-92 lead with 48 seconds left in the game.

After 2 free throws by Renaldo Balkman cut the deficit to 1 and Pringle missed on the next play, the Beermen had a chance to reclaim the driver's seat.

But San Miguel botched its inbound play, leading to a steal by Pringle and a breakaway layup for Mo Tautuaa to make it 97-94.

A free throw by Elorde and a miss from behind the arc by Chris Ross in the dying seconds sealed the victory for the Batang Pier.

Sean Anthony tallied 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for GlobalPort, which played without Malcolm White for the remaining 8 minutes of the game.

White was ejected after he was called for a technical foul, his second, on a second motion infraction against Balkman.

White finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Balkman led San Miguel with 33 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks, while June Mar Fajardo contributed 20 points and 8 rebounds.
