JM Villahermosa scored 18 points, and the Caloocan Supremos—Longrich downed the Pasig Pirates—Gameville 91-81 in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at Caloocan Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Villahermosa led 6 Caloocan players in double-digit scoring, as the Supremos overturned a 7-point deficit at the end of the third quarter by outscoring the Pirates 28-11 in the fourth.
Jopher Custodio and Cedric Labing-isa finished 13 points each, while Joseph Nalos and JR Cawaling had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Caloocan played catch up a majority of the game, falling behind by double digits until the Supremos pressed the action to seize the lead midway through the fourth, 74-73, thanks to a Cawaling 3-pointer.
But it was an 8-0 run that allowed the Supremos to break away from the Pirates which lost steam in the fourth period.
Former Alaska Ace Bernzon Franco led Pasig with 15 points.
