MANILA, Philippines -- National football team standouts Jarvey Gayoso and Inna Palacios have stayed fit and ready even during the lockdown period.
In an episode of "Upfront," they shared some juggling and goalkeeping workouts that helped them maintain their fitness while quarantined.
"Knowing myself, my personality, I'm a very active person," said Gayoso. "I'm a very mobile person. I need to do anything I can just to move around."
"It's a big adjustment to be at home and not do anything, (but) our team was able to give us drills and activities to do and stay fit," he added.
Gayoso led Ateneo de Manila University to the UAAP championship in Seasons 79 and 81, twice winning Most Valuable Player honors before opting to skip his final season to focus on his professional career. He played for the Azkals in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Palacios, the goalkeeper for the Philippine Malditas, steered De La Salle University to the UAAP Season 79 women's title. She scored a goal in her final game, converting a spot kick that helped the Lady Archers seal the championship over University of Santo Tomas.
