Alaska used a strong first half to bring down NLEX 100-87 in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup at Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.

Jeron Teng and 5 other Aces scored in double digits, as Alaska led by as many as 19 points.

Teng finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds, while helping the Aces offset Toni Mitchell's return to the Road Warriors.

Chris Daniels added 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

NLEX’s misery extended to 3 games.

The Road Warriors played minus head coach Yeng Guiao, who took a break after juggling his coaching duties between NLEX and Gilas Pilipinas. Deputy coach Jojo Lastimosa called the shots Wednesday.

Mitchell scored 34 points for NLEX, which also got 16 from Poy Erram. But the Road Warriors lagged 46-35 at the break, and couldn't recover after that.

With the victory, Alaska ended a 2-game slump to improve to 2-2.
