PBA: Another strong game, as Terrence Jones’ 40-20 powers TNT past Alaska

Terrence Jones came up with another strong game, tallying 43 points and 22 rebounds to lead TNT past Alaska 99-85 in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

TNT (2-0) remains unbeaten, while Alaska fell to 0-2.

The game was close until after halftime when TNT limited Alaska to just 2 baskets during an 8-minute stretch in the third quarter.

From a 62-58 lead, the KaTropa ended the third ahead 73-63 before coasting to victory in the fourth.

Jones, who also finished with 5 3-pointers, was ejected late in the fourth, though, for a technical foul and a flagrant foul on Jake Pascual.

A former Houston Rockets player, Jones was brilliant in his PBA debut on Wednesday, tallying 41 points and 14 rebounds in a 15-point win over NLEX.

Jayson Castro added 14 points, while Anthony Semerad chipped in 11 for TNT against Alaska.

Robert Daniels led the Aces with 23 points and 19 rebounds.
