Felix Apreku will be joining forces with Marlon Gomez when they play for the Pampanga Dong Lanterns in the next season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
Apreku, formerly of Muntilupa, and ex-Navotas player Gomez will be clustered with other new acquisitions, including Reil Cervantes (Manila), and Wilson Baltazar and Dan Alberto (Imus).
Pampanga coach Bong Ramos said Apreku and Gomez will be able to boost the team particularly in the rebounding department.
“Makakatulong talaga sa amin itong dalawa. Getting these players means we can now get more rebounds,” Ramos said in a report posted on Fox Sports Philippines.
Apreku averaged 10.43 rebounds a game aside from scoring 10.25 points per outing. Gomez, meanwhile, averaged 10 rebounds and 12.94 points per game.
