MANILA, Philippines – The Creamline Cool Smashers overwhelmed defending champion Pocari-Air Force in four sets, 25-15, 27-25, 17-25, 25-19, to earn a share of the lead in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Sunday in Batangas.

The Cool Smashers shook off a dip in form in the third set and a slow start to the fourth, with Risa Sato and Alyssa Valdez conspiring in the end game to push Creamline to victory.

Sato scored on a quick kill then blocked Pocari import Arielle Love, while Valdez – playing in her hometown – fired a couple of aces as Creamline broke away from a tight 19-18 count.

Valdez finished with 16 points on 13 kills, two aces and a block, while Thai import Kuttika Kaewpin also contributed 16 markers. Sato scored four of her 10 points off kill blocks.

The Cool Smashers pounced on Pocari Air-Forces' 29 unforced errors in the win that took an hour and 46 minutes.

Arielle Love led the Lady Warriors with 29 points.

Creamline improved to 3-1, tying idle PayMaya at the top of the league standings. Pocari Sweat dropped to 1-2.
