A boy named after a 2-time NBA MVP was among those who left an impression during the recent Elite 60 Development Camp.
Steve Nash Enriquez of University of Visayas caught the eye of most experts, especially program assistant director Anton Altamirano.
Altamirano said the 5-foot-7 Enriquez reminds him of a talented guard in the PBA.
“ ’Yung talent niya, ’yung play all throughout the camp, talagang stand out. He reminds me a lot of how Terrence Romeo plays kaya ang laki ng potential ng bata,” Altamirano said in an article posted on ABS-CBN Sports.
Enriquez was eventually named the Elite 60’s Best Camper. He will be integrated into the Batang Gilas pool together with Harold Alarcon of Tay Tung High School and Filipino-Australian Royce Mantua.
The program concluded its second annual training camp last Sunday at Colegio San Agustin Gym in Makati.
