Expected to be the top 3 teams in NCAA Season 95, San Beda, Lyceum, and Letran wasted no time showing their might in the ongoing 2019 FilOil Flying V Preseason Tournament.

To start the day on Friday, the Red Lions mangled undermanned Mapua University, 80-63, at FilOil Flying V Centre.

Former NCAA finals MVP Arnaud Noah was an end-to-end force in totaling 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 17 minutes of play.

Also now at 2-0 are the Pirates, who edged Adamson, 82-81.

Keeping pace with the Red Lions and the Pirates, the Knights got the better of Far Eastern University, 75-70.

With their respective losses, the Soaring Falcons dropped to 1-1 and the Cardinals dropped to 0-2. The Tamaraws, meanwhile, dropped their debut game.
