MANILA, Philippines – When Floyd Mayweather Jr. touched down in Manila early Tuesday morning, he did so in his usual flashy style.
The former world champion – who retired with a pristine 50-0 record last year – arrived via The Money Team jet, and had his choice of transportation upon landing.
There were several luxury cars waiting to greet Mayweather in Manila, including a Rolls Royce with his "TMT" logo. The boxer, however, chose to ride a Lamborghini.
"We have to see what the country holds, but I'm pretty sure there are so many great things," Mayweather said upon his arrival.
He was non-committal on what he will do in the Philippines, although on Tuesday morning he spent some time shooting hoops at a local court.
"I'm just here to have fun, and enjoy life, and enjoy this great country," said Mayweather.
This is the first time that Mayweather is visiting the Philippines.
