(UPDATED) Bienvenido Marañon produced a hat-trick, as Ceres Negros clobbered Myanmar club Shan United 5-0 in the 2019 AFC Cup in Yangon on Wednesday.
With 15 points, the undefeated Bacolod outfit topped Group G to secure a spot in the ASEAN zonal semifinals, which will be played in June.
The visitors struggled to immediately put away their winless opponents at Thuwunna Stadium, but once Marañon got them on board the floodgates opened for the Busmen.
The Spanish right-winger found the net in the 38th minute, then did so again on a penalty 5 minutes later to put Shan United on the ropes.
It took a while for Ceres Negros to add to their total, but when they did it was Marañon again who scored, this time in the 71st.
Carli de Murga and substitute OJ Porteria completed the annihilation en route to the Busmen's fifth win in as many matches.
