MANILA, Philippines – Mark "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" Muñoz has closed his gym, the Reign Training Center, and plans to spend more time with his family.

"I've actually sold Reign Training Center, and I'm looking to get into coaching for wrestling again. For me, my son is going to high school, and my daughter has got two more years of college, and I want to be a dad that leaves a legacy with his family," Muñoz said, as quoted by MMA Fighting.

"I want to be able to spend time with them. These past six years have gone by so fast, and I haven't really gotten to spend time with them," he added.

Muñoz later clarified that he closed the gym, located in Lake Forest, California, instead of selling it.

"I've been spending 12, 13 hours (a) day at the gym, teaching, coaching," he said. "And then, I've been doing a lot of my community work with my anti-bullying campaign, all the while trying to be a husband to a wife and four kids, and then being a UFC (fighter) on top of that."

Among the fighters who have trained at Muñoz's gym are Jake Ellenberger, Brett Cooper, Michael Bisping and Uriah Hall.

Muñoz is set to conclude his MMA career next month when he fights for the last time at UFC Fight Night: Manila against Luke Barnatt.
