Ateneo standout fencer Maxine Esteban thanked donors who supported a fund-raising campaign aimed to support frontliners and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their "A Small Thing Goes A Long Way," which began on April 9, has collected cash and other donations worth P500,000.

The items include rice packs, face shields, pillows, and alcohol.

Those were distributed through Task Force ICAN to hospitals including UERM Hospital, National Children's Hospital, Cardinal Santos Hospital, San Juan Medical Center, and Pasig City Children's Hospital.

Esteban, who was part of the team that won the foil bronze in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, organized the fund drive with her siblings.
