MANILA, Philippines -- After making the country proud with their golden efforts in the 30th Southeast Asian Games, Agatha Wong and Jamie Lim are now teaming up in a unique initiative to raise more funds in the battle against COVID-19.

The two gold medalists announced that they will hold a five-episode Instagram Live series every Wednesday and Saturday for 30 minutes, where they will discuss "all things sports and health."

The initiative, called "PUSO: The Battle Against COVID-19," will raise funds for the benefit of PUIs and COVID-19 patients in the Philippine General Hospital and other health facilities.

"By sharing our experience in our respective sports, we encourage everyone to support us from the comforts of their own homes by listening, learning, and best of all, donating," Lim and Wong said.

"What we hope for by the end of this fundraiser is to inspire others through our experiences as national athletes, promote the importance of sports, especially to the younger generation, and to deepen everyone's understanding of karate and wushu while fighting this health war together, as a nation," they added.

Wong won two golds in the SEA Games last December, while Lim ruled the 61-kg division in karate.
