Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s already eventful media day took another curious turn when he was photographed wearing a shirt that seemed inspired by the Philippine flag.
Mayweather's shirt featured a photo of himself that was splashed with colors of the Philippine flag, with the boxer's head superimposed on the sun.
Asked if he was trying to send a message, Mayweather said: "I'm not trying to send any message."
"I love every country. It's always the U.S. first, but I love the Philippines, I love Japan, I love Africa. I love all countries," said Mayweather.
Mayweather was almost two hours late for his media workout, where he gave reporters a glimpse of the fighting form that he is expected to bring in his May 2 showdown against Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao.
