American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has declined to engage in trash talk with Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, but on Tuesday revealed a secret about the "Pacman."
"He wears the lifts in his shoes," Mayweather said during his media workout in Las Vegas, as quoted by Boxing Scene.
Pacquiao stands 5-foot-6½, but Mayweather said he was informed by a source that the "Pacman" wears lifts inside his shoes to make him appear taller.
Mayweather is taller at 5-foot-8.
"I know all the little secrets he does," Mayweather said. "He wears the little lifts in his shoes so he can be a little taller, but he's entitled to do what he wants to do."
Mayweather and Pacquiao faced off for the first time in a press conference last month in Los Angeles, and the American's height advantage was apparent.
"I don't think he expected me to be so tall or big, even though I walk around at 147 (pounds), I'm still a big welterweight," he said.
Pacquiao and Mayweather will finally fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
